Role Description We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech‑Language Pathologist to join our team. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating children ages 6‑18 in a school setting who experience challenges with speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing. Your expertise will enhance patients’ quality of life by improving communication effectiveness. We are urgently hiring. Schedule: Mon‑Fri (7‑9 hrs) with possible part‑time summer work as needed by the school. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments using standardized tests, observations, and medical histories to identify communication and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs and goals. Implement evidence‑based therapies and interventions to improve speech production, language comprehension and expression, voice quality, and fluency. Educate patients and families on managing communication disorders and provide practical strategies for improved communication. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, educators, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment. Engage in research initiatives to advance clinical practices and advocate for patients, promoting awareness and access to effective treatment options. Requirements Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech‑Language Pathology (CAA). Current Maryland state licensure in Speech‑Language Pathology or eligibility to obtain licensure. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) preferred. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship (CF) under supervision and demonstration of clinical competency. Pediatric experience, having worked with children in a school setting. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
