Bookkeeper

The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site position based in Morristown, TN. The role of Staff Accountant manages day-to-day financial transactions, general ledger entries, and monthly close processes. They are specifically responsible for tracking inventory valuation, freight logistics, accounts receivable, sales and wholesale margins. Key Responsibilities: Inventory & Accounting: track cost of finished goods including freight and tariffs. Assist with periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile variances. Account Payable & Receivable: process vendor invoices for finished goods and shipping and manage collections thru our factor from retail buyers. Financial Reporting: prepare information for income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports using accounting software QuickBooks. Reconciliation: perform monthly reconciling of bank accounts, credit cards, tariff charges, freight cost, and warehouse and showroom inventories. Variance Analysis: review pricing discrepancies, evaluate shipping and ocean freight cost, warehouse costs, and ensure profitable sales margins across product lines. Audit Preparation: prepare key documentation for auditors. Qualifications & Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (specifically Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP) Strong industry knowledge with an understanding of GAAP and inventory costing methods. Candidate must meet at least one of the following: Associate degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1 to 3 years of accounting experience in retail, supply chain, or manufacturing. #J-18808-Ljbffr BarcaLounger
