Role Description The Medical Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Irvine, CA. In this role, the Medical Assistant supports clinicians by rooming patients, recording vital signs, updating medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Daily tasks include managing patient flow, assisting with basic clinical procedures, handling specimen collection, and providing clear instructions to patients regarding tests or follow-up care. The Medical Assistant also performs administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining and organizing medical records, managing telephone inquiries, and coordinating referrals. This position requires consistent attention to detail, timely documentation, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and office staff to ensure efficient and respectful patient care. Qualifications Clinical support skills, including Medical Assisting and Patient Care competencies. Knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate and document clinical information. Experience in a Medical Office setting, including front- and back-office workflows. Ability to manage and maintain Medical Records with accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and current MA certification (or eligibility) preferred. Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills when working with diverse patient populations. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
