Job Summary As a Respiratory Therapist, you administer therapy modalities as ordered by physicians, operate and monitor mechanical ventilators, perform arterial punctures and blood gas analyses, and respond to code blue situations. Responsibilities Administer therapy modalities as ordered. Initiate, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilators. Perform arterial puncture and blood gas analysis. Respond to code blue situations for assigned areas. Assist in transport of ventilator and critically ill patients. Verify physician orders before therapy treatment. Provide accurate report to oncoming staff at shift end. Enter all patient contacts into the appropriate system. Perform equipment rounds. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 60 months of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 60 months of employment start date. State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician. Benefits Comprehensive medical coverage.
