About This Role The Research Nurse in Ambulatory Cancer at Northwell Health assists in research projects involving direct patient care while adhering to established protocols. This role is ideal for those with a nursing background who are interested in contributing to cancer research and clinical trials. Highlights Pay: $90,000 - $145,000/year Location: New York, NY Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Participate in research project planning to determine feasibility of protocol implementation. Collaborate with Principal Investigator (PI) to determine patient eligibility for clinical trials. Ensure consent process is performed and documented in compliance with regulations. Educate research subjects, families, and healthcare team members on study specifics. Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, phlebotomy, and patient assessments. Participate in audit preparation and facilitation for FDA and IRB monitors. Evaluate disease response results and physical assessment data with the PI. Organize all phases of grant process for submission to funding agencies. Perform related duties as required. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: At least 2 years of RN experience preferred. Research and/or Oncology experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
