Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Hematology

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist specializing in hematology for its Tampa, Florida facility. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality and accurate test reporting in a high-volume diagnostic setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents and controls; report accurate timely results
• Execute preventative maintenance and quality control procedures; maintain safe work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Hematology MT State License
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
• 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
