Job Summary:

A Registered Nurse in psychiatric settings provides comprehensive mental health care, implementing patient-centered treatment plans while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes compassionate patient support, safety, and clinical leadership within behavioral health environments.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' mental health needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Coordinate and deliver nursing care, including medication management, in accordance with physician directives.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge procedures, and community resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress in compliance with policies.
• Monitor patient safety, identify risks, and report concerns to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Lead and delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid state nursing license with licensed registered nurse (RN) credentials.
• Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience, with pediatric experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Proven ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered mental health care.
• Strong communication skills and capacity to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated leadership in clinical settings and adherence to safety protocols.
