Phlebotomist

To perform specimen collection, specimen processing, and administrative tasks associated with clinical assessment of patients. Services as liaison to house staff, patient care services, medical students, physicians, etc., to ensure quality patient care. Execute tasks required to maintain accreditation with JCAHO, CAP, and DCRA.

Qualifications:

Education/Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience

Skills:

• Ability to work independently
• Fundamental computer skills and keyboard familiarity
• Able to speak and write English fluently
• Demonstrated communication, organization and critical thinking skills
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
