Group Exercise Aqua InstructorThe Group Exercise Aqua Instructor’s goal is to provide world class group exercise experiences that are safe, effective and exceed the members' expectations in the aquatic setting. The Group Exercise Aqua Instructor is a vital connection to our members and plays a key role in the company's brand promise of Making People Feel Comfortable and our core purpose of Changing Peoples Lives. The Group Exercise Aqua Instructor is part of the Brick Bodies team and is under the supervision of the Group Exercise Director.DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS WITH:Group Exercise DirectorGroup Exercise Education DirectorBrick Bodies MembersGeneral ManagerGroup Exercise InstructorsAll club associates (MCs, PTs, Service Desk, Little Bricks, etc.)EXPECTED OUTCOMES:Deliver world class group exercise experiences that are safe, effective, and motivational in the aquatic settingAssist in the education of members about safe, effective exercise techniques in both deep water and shallow water classesAchieve agreed upon class attendance targets for each scheduled classArrive to teach all classes a minimum of 10 minutes in advance of the class start timeBegin and end all classes on time as scheduledBe prepared for all scheduled classesTeach the class format that is scheduledAssume full responsibility for the coverage of any classes that require substitutionDownload and utilize the appropriate group exercise platforms which include:Entering class attendance for all scheduled classes immediately after the class is completedUtilizing the substitution process within the app for all required substitutionsReading and actioning, when necessary, all posted notices & communicationsAttend semi-annual Group Exercise Team MeetingsMaintain certifications and continuing education for all actively taught programs; inclusive of CPRVALUES AND LEADERSHIP:Role model the Brick Bodies Core ValuesLive the BrandBe TenaciousBe a Team PlayerRepresent the Brick Bodies brand positively in all classes, internal/external events and any personal marketing tactics promoting Brick Bodies classes/programs (social media, etc.)Assist in promotion of club events and activitiesBe a supportive, responsible, and respectful Brick Bodies Team MemberINSTRUCTOR BENEFITS:Complimentary multi-club membership when scheduled for at least 1 recurring class every weekIDEA Club Connect Membership which includes unlimited complimentary CECsFree child-care for up to two hours while teachingOpportunity to grow in a reputable, internationally known programSKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Previous group exercise teaching experience is preferred but not requiredClear understanding of the properties of water and how to safely and effectively teach in both deep water and shallow water classesKnowledge of all group exercise aquatic equipment, it’s proper use and storageAbility to teach to both swimmers and non-swimmers in all classesProgram certification required for all licensed programs. Traditional programs require a program specific training.Current CPR/AED certification or acquisition of CPR/AED certification within 3 months of date of hireStrong leadership, coaching, and crowd management skills including voice projection and the ability to mirror image while teaching on deckExcellent communication both verbally and visuallyStrong desire to work with participants of varying abilities in a single class #J-18808-Ljbffr Brick Bodies Fitness Services Inc
