Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour day shifts, with a schedule that varies from 0645-1915.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, manage medical interventions, and work collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients in the ICU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Medical ICU or similar specialty.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification is required.
• CCRN certification is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Holiday Expectations

MUST work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
