As a Weekend Charge Nurse , you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and comfort in a fast-paced healthcare environment. About the Role Leadership Responsibilities: Supervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing staff, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that the nursing unit is running smoothly and efficiently. Patient-Centered Care: Assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and educating patients and families. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and other support staff, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care and that the nursing unit is functioning effectively. Responsibilities Supervise and Coordinate Nursing Staff: Supervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and feedback, and addressing any performance issues. Assess Patient Needs: Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Develop Individualized Care Plans: Developing individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient. Provide Direct Patient Care: Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and educating patients and families. Monitor Patient Progress: Monitoring patient progress, identifying any changes or concerns, and adjusting care plans as needed. Requirements Education: LVN or RN degree from an accredited nursing program. Experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience as a Charge Nurse or similar role. Certifications: Current LVN or RN license in the state of Texas.
