Education, Events and Membership Specialist

The Texas Land Title Association (TLTA), a respected statewide trade association based in Austin and representing the Texas title insurance industry, is looking for a confident top performer with superior organizational, relationship-building, and communication skills to join our team as Education, Events and Membership Specialist. As part of our education team, this position takes ownership of the day-to-day planning and execution of the association’s portfolio of educational programs and events. Additionally, this role will be responsible for promoting membership growth by serving as a point of contact for prospective and new members. Key Responsibilities Working closely with the Director of Education, Events & Professional Development and the Vice President and COO, this position works with staff and volunteers to own the planning and execution of educational programs and events and supports membership growth through recruitment and retention efforts. Specifically, this position: Manages advance and onsite planning and logistics for all live education and professional development events, including the TLTA Annual Conference, Texas Land Title Institute and Land Title School of Texas. Anticipates what each event needs and carries the details through to execution. Owns end-to-end planning and execution of additional TLTA meetings and events, from logistics through onsite delivery. Coordinates with speakers/instructors on logistics and details, including preparation of speaker materials, AV needs, confirmations and travel, so every session runs seamlessly. Takes ownership of the operational systems that keep our events running, from registration operations to supply and packing systems to load-in and teardown. Sees how every piece connects to the outcome and runs and improves the whole with minimal direction. Supports several education-related committees, including sending meeting notices, preparing agendas and working with volunteers to carry out action plans and assignments. Supports membership recruitment strategies by analyzing non-member information, formulating and carrying out action plans and keeping notes and records on strategy and outreach. Implements membership retention strategies through outreach and materials. Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required Meeting planning experience preferred but not required. Association or membership experience a plus. To be successful in this role, you'll need: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Confidence working with technology, databases and spreadsheets; experience with iMIS or a similar association management system is a plus. Curiosity and a willingness to learn, take on new challenges and grow professionally. The ability to learn quickly, work independently and take initiative, requiring little day-to-day direction. The confidence and ability to take ownership of assignments, think beyond the task at hand, anticipate what’s needed next, and stay focused on achieving excellent results. The ability to build trust and develop positive working relationships with members, volunteers and colleagues. A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
