Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic – Hannibal, MO Responsible for performing maintenance on industrial equipment, including troubleshooting, repairing, and preventive maintenance of plant assets. Shift Hours 12‑hour shifts: 5:00 pm–5:00 am, 6:00 pm–6:00 am, or 6:30 pm–6:30 am. Ability to work overtime, any shift, days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Plant operates 24/7. Pay Starting at $32.40 per hour (Level 1).

• 35.70 per hour after training (Level 2).
• 37.25 per hour after training (Level 3).

Responsibilities Install, maintain, repair, and replace industrial processing and packaging machinery, tools, and equipment. Design and layout circuits, install fixtures, wire conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment/components, including use of a multimeter. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Provide technical support and leadership for equipment troubleshooting and modifications. Perform uptime and downtime preventive maintenance. Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance. Assist in training new employees. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related education. Proficiency with a multimeter and other electrical equipment/components. Knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems is preferred. Experience in a manufacturing/production environment is preferred. Knowledge of three‑phase electrical systems is preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must perform physical tasks for extended periods: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces. Must climb and/or work at heights using stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms. Must wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves when required. Willing and able to adhere to grooming requirements for a food manufacturing environment. Must tolerate hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet working conditions.
