Advertising Technology & Privacy Attorney

Overview Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm with offices in all 50 states, is seeking a senior‑level attorney to join its Advertising and E‑Commerce Practice Group, Privacy Practice Group, and Artificial Intelligence Practice Group in the Washington, D.C. office. Candidates must have at least 5 years of legal experience focused on advertising and e‑commerce technology and software transactions, and familiarity with related consumer data, privacy, and artificial intelligence issues in an in‑house or law‑firm setting. The firm offers flexible on‑site, hybrid, or fully remote opportunities for the successful candidate. Responsibilities Provide proactive, strategic counsel to clients including e‑commerce retailers, advertising platforms, lead generators, data brokers, software companies, and other technology companies. Negotiate, draft, and review agreements for advertising technology, social media, lead generation, payment processing, and artificial intelligence technology. Advise on privacy matters and compliance with consumer data regulations across digital platforms. Represent clients in compliance reviews, regulatory inquiries, and, when necessary, litigation related to advertising and e‑commerce practices. Collaborate with a cross‑functional team of attorneys to develop client solutions and deliver exceptional service. Qualifications 5+ years as an attorney with a focus on advertising and e‑commerce technology and software transactions. Solid understanding of privacy, consumer data, and artificial intelligence issues in the digital advertising ecosystem. Transactional and compliance experience with service providers, advertising platforms, and technology companies. Excellent writing, analysis, and research skills with a strong academic background. Self‑starter who can handle matters with minimal supervision while maintaining superior client service. Compensation & Benefits The pay range for this role is $215,000–$250,000. Actual compensation is tailored to each individual and may vary based on experience, skills, practice area, business generation, work arrangement, and geographic market.
