Newark Day Nursery and Children's Center (NDNCC) is a NAEYC accredited childcare center. Our mission is to educate all children regardless of household income. Assure all programs and activities are challenging, interesting, and developmentally appropriate Support feeding, diapering, and nap routines Create a calm, engaging classroom environment Talk, sing, read to babies throughout the day, and participate in all activities Celebrate milestones like first smiles, rolls, and steps Partner with families to share updates and build trust Learn each child in the classroom and familiarize yourself with medical issues, dietary restrictions, and habits Complete all written work as required, including lesson plans, children’s assessments, meal counts, and injury reports Communicate positively and professionally with all NDNCC staff, and work as part of a team Agree and abide by the NAEYC Code of Ethics and support accreditation practices Qualifications Has a passion for Early Childhood Education Is at least 18 years old Is patient, nurturing, and dependable Communicates well with both babies and adults Holds an Assistant Teacher or Teacher certification by DEEDs Is physically able to adequately care for, lift, carry, and interact with children up to 50 pounds inclusive of running, squatting, pushing, and pulling equipment and furniture as needed Has a clean background check Has both a health appraisal and negative TB test conducted by a licensed medical professional Compensation & Benefits 100% paid in full health coverage, or an additional $4500 to your annual salary if health coverage is waived Dental insurance, vision coverage, long-term disability, retirement plans, and a generous PTO package A supportive, fun, loving team environment Daily smiles, giggles, and heart-melting moments #J-18808-Ljbffr Mary Dickson
