We're looking for an organized and resourceful Procurement Specialist to support purchasing activities across the organization. You'll be responsible for processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, maintaining purchasing records, communicating with vendors, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure materials and services are acquired accurately, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Purchasing & Order Processing Prepare and process purchase orders for materials, supplies, and services Track orders from placement through delivery Monitor delivery schedules and follow up on outstanding orders Help resolve delayed, missing, damaged, or incorrect shipments Maintain accurate purchasing documentation Update purchasing and internal systems with current order information Vendor & Contract Support Communicate with vendors regarding orders, pricing, delivery, and service Assist with reviewing vendor pricing, terms, and service expectations Help prepare and update basic procurement agreements under supervision Monitor vendor performance Escalate concerns involving quality, delivery, pricing, or service Assist with identifying potential cost-saving opportunities Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with property management, construction, finance, maintenance, and operations teams Understand purchasing needs and help ensure materials and services are available when needed Provide guidance regarding purchasing procedures Ensure purchases follow established internal processes Coordinate deliveries, returns, replacements, and issue resolution Reporting & Administration Maintain organized records of purchases, contracts, and vendor communications Assist with procurement reporting Help track spending and vendor performance Support audit and compliance activities Assist with identifying purchasing trends and cost-saving opportunities Warehouse & Inventory Support This is primarily a procurement position, but occasional hands-on support may include: Receiving and verifying deliveries Organizing and staging materials for pickup Performing basic inventory counts Helping ensure materials and supplies are accurately tracked What We're Looking For Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, warehouse operations, inventory, or a related field preferred Experience processing or tracking purchase orders is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable communicating with vendors and internal departments Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving abilities Willingness to develop negotiation and vendor-management skills Experience with a procurement or ERP system is preferred, but we're open to someone who can learn quickly Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments Comfortable providing occasional hands-on support with deliveries and inventory Ability to work on-site in Wake Forest, NC Interested in hearing more?
