Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required for clinical care
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision, learning objectives, and student evaluations
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional activities and organizations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory agency requirements while maintaining professional licensure in good standing

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Colorado
• Ability to perform 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-up treatment sessions in an outpatient setting
• Proficiency in clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and goal development focused on functional outcomes and timely discharge
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and state practice acts
• Competency in safe patient handling and maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with established safety standards

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
• Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality of care initiatives
