Heavy Equipment Operator - Facility Maintenance - Yosemite

The Facilities Operator I is responsible for operating, monitoring, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on facility equipment in assigned location(s) and works with all shops to provide special assistance requiring various types of mechanical equipment. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $33.62. Job Responsibilities:

• Parking lot sweeping utilizing power equipment.
• Snow removal and sanding of roads.
• Truck driving and trailer hauling.
• Cut limbs and trees utilizing chain saw.
• Digs trenches, moves trees and other operations requiring relocation of large masses using backhoe and front loader.
• Heavy lifting, moving, relocating various types of equipment and furniture.
• Steam cleaning of walkways, equipment, tents, canvas, etc.
• Road patching utilizing compactor and/or front loader.
• Assistance with equipment repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Able to handle strenuous work assignments including lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 100 pounds throughout shift).
• Ability to work under various conditions, including weather extremes from inclement to hot temperatures.
• Must have ability to work with little or no supervision and communicate progress and problems to management.
• Able to operate various power tools and equipment.
• Able to operate a variety of heavy equipment without assistance.
• Must have Class A license.
• Must operate equipment within approved safety program practices.
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
