Shift Supervisor

Job TitleThe incumbent is expected to learn how to lead and to take advantage of any opportunity to do so with a positive attitude. Their main responsibilities include supervising, running shifts and coaching those who require guidance to help them grow as a team member. This position requires a higher level of responsibility because every shift you run, and it is your responsibility to create the opportunity to enhance the store's efficiency during your time in charge. We encourage the incumbent to also seek continuous feedback from Restaurant General Manager (RGM), and Assistant Unit Manager (AUM) to help foster your own growth. As a new leader we also encourage you to embody our company's core values trust, fairness, loyalty, responsibility, and prudence.Essential Duties• Quick problem solver • Executes shift success routines effectively. • Execute core operations procedures (e.g., shift accountability, product projections, Repair & Maintenance (R&M) spending, Cost of Sales/Cost of Labor (COS/COL) controls) on each of their shift. • Goes for breakthrough results by analyzing the financial performance of their shift and identifying solutions to improve the result. • Support the RGM/AUM in ensuring marking incitive are being executed. • Supports the RGM/AUM in executing strategies for training talent using the Learning Zone and shoulder to shoulder activities. • Role models and coaches using the EARS Model (Explore, Analyze, Respond and Making it Stick) to help build the capability of their team. • Holds team members accountable for performance below expectations. • Recognizes employees for exceptional performance and embodying or core values using Our RBD Value Card to reinforce breakthrough results and to help them and you become a values Ambassador.Core CompetenciesAdaptability & Accountability: Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, accepts criticism and feedback, changes approach or method to best fit the situation and takes responsibility for own actions.Analytical Skills: Synthesizes complex or diverse information, prioritizes projects and determines the best way of meeting deadlines and requirements.Attendance & Punctuality: Schedules time off in advance, begins working on time, keeps absences within guidelines, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent and arrives at meetings and appointments on time.Business Ethics: Works with integrity, adheres to high ethical standards, upholds organizational values, and abides by written policies.
