Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to independently manage the accounting, payroll, and financial reporting for a client medical practice. This is a part-time role for someone who can own the full cycle - from accounts payable and bookkeeping through monthly close, financial statements, and bi-weekly payroll - with accuracy and minimal supervision. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential.

Responsibilities

• Produce selected daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports from the practice's eClinicalWorks (eCW) system
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable: review and code vendor invoices, obtain approvals, and schedule and process payments
• Maintain the general ledger and complete regular bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online, including transaction categorization and bank and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow) and supporting schedules
• Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 25 employees, including review, PTO tracking, and coordination of payroll tax filings with the payroll provider
• Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records and support year-end close and CPA/tax preparation

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or in a comparable role, independently managing accounts payable, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial statements
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required; QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a plus
• Experience running multi-employee payroll and familiarity with payroll tax requirements
• Command of bookkeeping and accounting principles through financial-statement preparation
• High accuracy, sound judgment, and discretion in handling confidential financial information
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet recurring deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience in a medical or healthcare practice and/or familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience

Schedule, Location & Compensation

• Compensation: $26-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience
• Schedule: Part-time, approximately 12-16 hours per week, with periodic increases at month-end, quarter-end, and payroll cycles
• Location: Remote, with occasional on-site work in the Pensacola, FL area as needed
• Flexible scheduling within standard business hours
