2026 - 2027 School Year Position Description Jacobs High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of a student council sponsor with a strong knowledge of student activities. Must be organized, flexible, able to take direction from the direct supervisor, and able to work with other activity sponsors. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS Experience sponsoring student council at the high school level is required. Must be organized, flexible, able to take direction from the direct supervisor, and able to work with other activity sponsors. Lead students for sustained participation and success. Maintain accurate records of supplies. Organize and oversee all areas of responsibility. Communicate with the Athletic Director to secure facilities to ensure a safe environment for students. Communicate and plan with other sponsors to ensure the well-being of the student participants. Coordinate with the Athletic Director all scheduling and planning. Attend and supervise all meetings and events. Sponsorship of meetings held at least twice monthly and supervision of projects. Offer to students the opportunity to develop leadership qualities. Afford the student body a part of the organization and administration of special activities of the school. Make possible a liaison between the student body and the school administration and faculty. Serve as a service organization benefiting the total school program. Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Application Procedures Apply online.
