Merchandiser/Cashier

Compensation Pay Range: $18.04 - $25.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsibilities Greet customers on sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to parts specialists. Check out customers and deter shoplifters. Keep the front area stocked and fronted, stock merchandise according to planograms or displays, and complete sales preparation. Manage front‑floor merchandise: price, put up stock, keep displays fronted, full, and clean daily. Make display changes following company guidelines and planograms. Update all front price changes and maintain sale signage, flyer rack, and sale merchandise quantities. Remove sale materials when sale ends and restore original pricing. Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns. Work with manager to complete store To‑Do list and team weekly tasks. Act as main shoplifting deterrent/front‑floor security. Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities. Clock in/out according to company policy. As cashier, check out customers purchasing front‑floor merchandise quickly and friendly. Handle merchandise returns efficiently. When express lane is not utilized and the counter is busy, assist by finishing tickets, taking money, checks, and credit cards. Qualifications Required: Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences, strong interpersonal communication skills, and excellent organizational skills. Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience; ability to drive a manual‑transmission vehicle; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
