Telemetry Technician/Cardiac Monitor Technician/EKG Tech

Brentwood, TN Position Summary Equum Medical is seeking a Telemetry Technician / Cardiac Monitor Technician / EKG Tech to monitor and analyze real‑time patient data and facilitate high‑quality remote care. The role requires keen analytical skills, collaboration with healthcare teams, and timely transmission of critical health information. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with hospitalists to assist in patient care plans based on telemetry data Ensure accurate documentation of patient information, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) or designated systems Troubleshoot technical issues related to telemetry equipment and elevate to support teams as needed Maintain a thorough understanding of company protocols, policies, and standards for remote patient monitoring Provide clear verbal and written communication to convey patient information to healthcare providers and remote care teams Participate in continuous training and professional development to stay current with advances in telemetry technology and patient care practices Demonstrate excellent communication, detail‑orientation and problem‑solving abilities Requirements Minimum 2 years of hospital experience as a technician Pass Telemetry Technician competency exam Proficiency with telemetry monitoring equipment and related software Strong understanding of cardiac rhythm interpretation Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast‑paced environment Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required Knowledge and Skills Proficiency in ECG interpretation and related software Solid understanding of medical terminology and cardiac physiology Strong analytical skills to interpret patient data and recognize deviations from normal ranges Effective communication to collaborate with healthcare providers and team members Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and remote patient monitoring platforms Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent Preferred AHA BLS certification Preferred EKG certification Benefits Competitive hourly rate Paid time off (PTO) 401(k) plan Continuing education (subject to eligibility) Night shift differential Other benefits available Total compensation is based on location, education level, experience and certifications.
