Position: Senior Producer, Festival ProgrammingDepartment: Artistic ProgrammingRole Overview: The Senior Producer, Festival Programming plays a key role in shaping and delivering the artistic vision of Festival Programming, Summer for the City, the Lincoln Center West Initiative, and year-round Lincoln Center Presents programming. Working closely with the Director, Festival Programming, this position oversees the artistic logistics of the Summer for the City festival and provides essential support for the planning and execution of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Lincoln Center West Initiative, a major new outdoor destination scheduled to open in 2028. This role will help shape both the present and future of festival programming at Lincoln Center. The Senior Producer also supports a range of performances, projects, and partnerships throughout the year. This role requires exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as deep expertise in the performing arts, partnership development, and outdoor festival programmingWhat You'll Get To Do Here:Supervision and CoordinationServe as lead producer for Summer for the City and the Lincoln Center West Initiative, acting as a key liaison across Programming, Legal, Marketing, and Communications to advance and execute festival programming initiatives.Maintain and oversee the Summer for the City calendars across ArtsVision and Monday.com, ensuring accurate and timely information sharing.Support the Director of Festival Programming in developing and communicating the narrative, strategic priorities, and key updates of the Lincoln Center West Initiative to internal and external stakeholders Collaborate with the Director of Festival Programming to steward and expand strategic community and artistic relationships that support the success of Summer for the City and lay the groundwork for the opening of the new park in 2028.Support the Director of Artistic Programming in maintaining consistent communications with LCPA departments and Summer for the City Curators.Train, lead, and manage the festival’s Line Producing team, including hiring and supervising seasonal staff as necessary, while fostering collaboration, clarity, and accountability.Partner with the Event Production team to build and maintain communication among curators, line producers, artist services, other LCPA departments, and Lincoln Center’s Resident Arts Organizations regarding festival and general programming operations and logistics, including weather action plans.Collaborate with Director of Festival Programming in overseeing the Festival’s announcement process, and coordinate efforts across Press, Marketing, and Social Media teams.Artist and Production SupportServe as lead line producer for year-round programming, including but not limited to outdoor takeovers, site-specific activations, and other curatorial explorations, acting as the primary point of contact for artistic and logistical coordination.Collaborate with internal and external curators, as well as the Director, Artistic Programming, in the development and realization of Summer for the City, including the planning of the West Initiave and year-round programming.Partner with the Production team to advance and execute performances and events, including securing backline and equipment, troubleshooting production needs, and sharing event schedules with internal departments.Oversee on-site production to uphold artistic integrity while collaborating closely with Event Production, Operations, and Guest Experience teams. Ensure adherence to production budgets, timelines, and contractual obligations.Programming and CurationContribute to the Summer for the City festival, The West Initiaves and other series programming through curating select dates and events.Administration and OperationsSupport the Director, Artistic Programming, in developing, managing, and tracking the Summer for the City programming budget.Maintain Summer for the City schedules, calendars, and storytelling documents to ensure organizational alignment and timely communication.Collaborate with Artist Services to support artists’ logistical and contractual needs.Partner with Director, Artistic Programming, as well as internal and external curators to manage performance contracts, budgets, schedules, and event advancement for all Festival Programming initiatives. Track and re-forecast expenses on performance budgets and large festival budgets, delivering regular forecasting updates to the Chief of Staff and Programming’s Finance Business Partner.Implement and uphold institutional policies and procedures that ensure the safety, well-being, and professional conduct of artists and staff.Communication and Relationship ManagementFoster strong, positive relationships with artists, curators, and internal teams, serving as a representative of Lincoln Center’s programmatic vision and values.Seamlessly manage internal communications with various departments (Event Production & Campus Operations, Guest Experience & Access, Legal, People Team, and Advancement & Innovation.Maintain effective communication channels with external stakeholders, agents, and industry professionals.Lead production meetings and represent Lincoln Center’s Programming Department at institutional events and cross-departmental initiatives as required.You'll Be A Fit If You Bring:Minimum of 7 years of line producing experience within the performing arts sector. Experience producing large-scale outdoor events and festivals is strongly preferred.A strong background in producing across genres/disciples: dance, theater, classic and vernacular music, and site-specific.Basic tech knowledge: the ability to read stage plots and tech riders, understanding and managing language to work with Production Managers.Demonstrated experience in outreach, community building, strategic partnerships, and audience development is strongly preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with artists, staff members, and external stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop effective solutions, and make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.Availability to work night and weekends and a robust summer festival season.
