International Finance Director

We are seeking a commercially minded Director, International Finance to help shape the financial direction and performance of the company’s international business. This individual will work closely with business executives to evaluate growth opportunities, assess the economics of different ways of operating, and translate complex business questions into clear financial recommendations. The role will have significant exposure to senior leadership and will serve as a key finance partner as the company continues to expand its international operations. The ideal candidate combines strong financial and analytical capabilities with a deep understanding of how businesses operate across multiple countries. They should be equally comfortable building a detailed financial model, working through an operational issue with a business leader, and presenting a recommendation to senior executives. Key Responsibilities Evaluate international business opportunities, including entry into new markets, new product launches, potential acquisitions, and further expansion of the company’s global footprint. Develop financial analyses and business cases to support significant investments and initiatives. Assess the economics of different approaches to serving customers and operating the business across markets. Evaluate the financial and operational tradeoffs associated with facilities, manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, logistics, third-party providers, and other major investments. Crete financial models to evaluate strategic alternatives, capital allocation, investment opportunities, and expected returns. Develop scenario analyses to evaluate potential outcomes, risks, and returns under different business assumptions. Work with the executive team to establish priorities and determine where capital and other resources should be deployed. Develop a strong understanding of the operational and commercial drivers behind each market's performance. Bring an objective financial perspective to strategic and operational decisions and constructively challenge assumptions when appropriate. Lead the annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the international business. Analyze market-level revenue, profitability, expenses, working capital, and other key performance indicators. Establish meaningful performance measures and reporting that allow leadership to quickly understand the drivers of the business. Identify emerging trends and variances and work with business leaders to determine appropriate actions. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve the quality, consistency, and scalability of financial information across markets. Identify opportunities to streamline planning, reporting, and analytical processes as the business grows Qualifications Experience supporting businesses across multiple countries, preferably including experience in Asia or the broader APAC region. 10+ years of years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, or a related discipline. Investment banking, private equity, venture capital or management consulting experience preferred. Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills, with experience building models from the ground up. Experience evaluating investments, capital allocation decisions, new business opportunities, or other strategic initiatives. Understanding of the financial and operational considerations involved in running businesses across different countries. Experience with manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, marketplaces, consumer businesses, or other operationally complex environments is highly valued. Strong communication skills and the ability to distill complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
