Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEssential Job Functions\n\nArrive punctually at your scheduled shift time ready to work\nUnderstand, comply with and promote Resident Rights.\nMaintain confidentiality of resident health information as required by HIPAA\nUnderstand and comply with Universal precautions and infection control, isolation, fire, safety and sanitation practices and procedures.\nEnsure a safe environment for residents, visitors and co-workers.\nProvide resident care as outlined in resident care guide/service plan.\nAnswer residents’ call signals. Respond to door alarms, fire alarms, etc.\nComplete daily charting and documentation as required.\nObserve and report resident behavior and condition changes (including food/liquid intake/output, vital signs, skin concerns, weight and signs of injury or neglect.)\nObtain residents weight, vitals and conduct blood sugar checks as directed. Report results to the resident care manager/ resident care specialist.\nAdhere to procedures regarding equipment, cleaners and other hazardous materials and report incidents or accidents in a timely fashion.\nAttend mandatory in –service meetings and other continuing education opportunities as report incidents or accidents in a timely fashion.\nAttend mandatory in-service meetings and other continuing education opportunities as required.\nDisplay a caring, respectful and positive attitude when addressing residents, family members and co-workers.\n\nOther Functions and Responsibilities\n\nCapture ancillary supply costs for billable supplies provided to resident\nClean up spills, soiled areas and other conditions as observed or directed.\nPerform general housekeeping and laundry duties as required.\nAssist with kitchen and dining room tasks associated with resident meals, including preparatory work, serving, cleaning up, and setting tables, taking out trash and other related duties as required.\nParticipate in or lead leisure activities as planned by the Life Engagement team.
