Registered Nurse - Emergency Room - Pediatric

$1713.60/week -

Job Summary:

Provide specialized pediatric emergency care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced ED environment. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care during each shift.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess pediatric patients upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity.
  
  
• 
  Administer treatments, medications, and interventions including IV starts, nasal wash, and port access.
  
  
• 
  Perform point-of-care testing such as trop, lactic acid, urine dip, and EKGs.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR.
  
  
• 
  Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure understanding and coordinated care.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and best practices to maintain a safe environment.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold at least 1 year of current hospital pediatric ED experience.
  
  
• 
  Possess valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC or CPI Blue Card certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in pediatric emergency procedures and IV competency.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit compassionate, caring, and friendly personality traits.
  
  
• 
  Maintain strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
