1st Shift Assembler

Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, plus overtime as needed Position Summary: Assemble different components or parts of semi-finished or finished goods, in order to prepare a product to be ready to begin the shipping process, and ultimately complete client orders. Essential Functions Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies Verifies specifications by measuring completed component Keep the area clean and organized Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs Input and maintain data in ERP computer system/Global Complete paperwork/job sheets required for the area Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Assist in other areas as needed Requirements High school diploma or GED 2-3 years of assembly experience Solid background working with sheet metal Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance Must show an aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computer skills Good color discernment and color vision Follow written and verbal instructions Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way Configure bend allowance for sheet material (Not a requirement, but a plus) Ability to read blueprints and a knowledge of engineered specified tolerances Basic computer skills and the ability to read and follow instructions Must maintain excellent attendance, and expect to work overtime if needed Environmental Conditions Humidity level may be elevated during the summer months Exposure to loud noise, at times Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently Able to stand on your feet for at least ten hours a day #J-18808-Ljbffr
