Service technician

Job Title

Support the end-to-end infrastructure radio customization process.

Interface with MSI Systems Engineers to validate customer-specific infrastructure configuration parameters.

Create customer-specific infrastructure configuration files using internal MSI software applications and supplied configuration parameters.

Troubleshoot the customization process and escalate to engineering for additional support as required.

Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, and RF test systems.

Identify hardware and software issues that potentially impact the test or build process.

Provide first-level technical manufacturing support to multiple manufacturing assembly lines.

Create, build, and maintain test systems/fixtures.

Troubleshoot fixture issues including pneumatics and mechanical functionality, software/PC triggered interaction.

Demonstrate excellent mechanical skills (pneumatics and calibration).

Maintain PC software and hardware, pneumatic, and hydraulic hardware.

Understand tool and equipment calibration practices.

Create or construct projects from technical documentation.

Utilize hand, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools proficiently.

Traverse and work on ladders and lifts overhead.

Lift 50 lbs unassisted.

Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills and manage multiple priorities.

Work extended hours and/or weekends as required to support ongoing manufacturing operations.

Qualifications & Skills

Advanced mechanical skills, particularly in pneumatics and calibration.

Experience in PC software and hardware maintenance.

Skills in maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic hardware.

Familiarity with tool and equipment calibration practices.

Strong troubleshooting abilities.

Proficient use of various tools (hand, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).

Ability to work overhead and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs unassisted).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
