Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Columbia, South Carolina Assignment Type: Med-Surg Telemetry travel nursing contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: November 9, 2026 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,710–$1,800 Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 designated holidays Unit: 26-bed Acute Care for the Elderly medical-surgical telemetry unit Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients Floating: May be required to float to other qualified units or campuses based on patient-care needs Med-Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements Active South Carolina or multistate Registered Nurse license At least 1 year of recent Med-Surg Telemetry RN experience At least 1 year of Epic electronic health record experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications NIHSS certification or competency, as required for the assignment Demonstrated experience caring for adult and geriatric patients in an acute-care setting Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts, blood product administration, and central, peripheral, and PICC line care Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and required holidays Strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills Travel RN Responsibilities Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for adult and geriatric medical-surgical telemetry patients. Monitor cardiac rhythms remotely and recognize, interpret, and appropriately respond to dysrhythmias. Administer medications, blood products, and therapies in accordance with established protocols. Manage peripheral IVs, central lines, PICC lines, ports, and other vascular access devices. Follow heparin protocols and accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Epic. Promote mobility, cognitive function, fall prevention, and recovery for older adults receiving acute care. Collaborate with physicians, therapy services, pharmacy, respiratory care, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners. Float to qualified areas when requested and maintain high standards of patient care across assigned settings.
