Our client, founded in 2012, has grown into one of the region's fastest-growing mid-sized law firms. Headquartered in Philadelphia with an office in Conshohocken, the firm provides sophisticated legal counsel to businesses, funds, families, and high-net-worth individuals. We are assisting them in the identification and hiring of a Family Law Associate to join their team in Conshohocken. In 2024, the firm was recognized as one of the fastest-growing law firms in Pennsylvania by both percentage growth and number of attorneys, ascending to become the 44th-largest law firm in the state. In 2025, the firm was named a Top Workplace for the seventh consecutive year. This position is based in the firm's Conshohocken office and requires in-office attendance five days per week during the first year. After the first year, the position transitions to the firm's hybrid in-office schedule.

The firm's Family Law Group handles sophisticated and often highly sensitive matters involving divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, custody, visitation, child support, protection from abuse, paternity actions, adoption, guardianship, and marital and premarital agreements. The group assists clients in achieving their goals through strategic planning, skilled negotiation, clear communication, and, when necessary, thoughtful and effective litigation. This is an opportunity to work closely with experienced family law attorneys while developing greater responsibility for client matters and courtroom proceedings.

The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and researcher with sound judgment, compassion for clients, and a desire to develop courtroom experience, manage matters with increasing independence, and contribute to a supportive, client-focused team.

Responsibilities:

• Support attorneys in all phases of family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, protection from abuse, adoption, guardianship, and related proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare well-reasoned memoranda, case summaries, and issue analyses to support case strategy, motions, hearings, arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, pre-trial statements, trial briefs, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, settlement documents, custody agreements, marital agreements, and other family law filings and documents.
• Assist with preparation for court appearances, conferences, mediations, arbitrations, depositions, hearings, and trials, including reviewing transcripts, organizing exhibits, preparing witness examinations, and developing factual timelines.
• Appear in court and before hearing officers as appropriate, with the goal of developing confidence and independence in handling custody, support, PFA, and other family law proceedings.
• Communicate with clients in a professional, responsive, and compassionate manner, helping to manage expectations and maintain strong client relationships during sensitive and complex matters.
• Manage assigned matters and workstreams efficiently, including tracking deadlines, coordinating with paralegals and legal administrative staff, maintaining organized files, and keeping supervising attorneys informed of case status and next steps.
• Contribute to the growth and reputation of the Family Law Group through high-quality work product, collaboration with attorneys and staff, participation in professional development opportunities, and support of client relationship and business development efforts.

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of family law, litigation, or other relevant legal experience; prior exposure to divorce, custody, support, protection from abuse, or related family law matters is preferred.
• J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars, or eligibility to waive in.
• Strong legal research, writing, drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills, with the ability to prepare clear, well-organized work product for clients, courts, and supervising attorneys.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity when working with clients on personal, complex, and emotionally challenging matters.
• Interest in developing courtroom experience and confidence handling conferences, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other family law proceedings.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines, case workstreams, and competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
• A collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and genuine enthusiasm for contributing to a supportive, client-focused Family Law Group.
