Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Requirements: Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable) BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) preferred 1 years of ED experience required Experience with triage protocols and high-acuity, fast-paced environments Duties: Triage and assess incoming patients to determine acuity and prioritize care Provide rapid, comprehensive nursing care to patients across a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid deterioration with appropriate emergency interventions Monitor and manage patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, follow-up care, and treatment plans Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient response in the EMR Maintain patient flow and throughput in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Ensure infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols are followed BHS Workforce Job ID 37986614.
