We are currently recruiting for a First Cook to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our mission driven organization to provide excellent care to our residents. The First Cook facilitates the service of meals and ensures excellent customer service to our residents. First Cook - FLex Responsibilities To prepare all foods as assigned, following established recipes and procedures ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepares meals using recipes Accomplishes pre-preparation of foods for future meals. Assures that all food items are portioned properly and appropriate temperatures are maintained and logged prior to each meal. Reports any problems to the Executive Chef. Follows all proper food handling requirements according to HACCP guidelines. Assists with food preparation for special events as requested. Properly and thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all equipment and work surfaces after each use. Keeps station areas clean and orderly prior to breaks and end of shift. Consistently uses correct sanitation procedures and equipment, to include proper handwashing, wearing hair net, and using plastic gloves. Calibrates all thermometers twice weekly and records time. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Min USD $17.99/Hr. Max USD $27.20/Hr. Salary Information Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices.
