Sr. Accountant Opportunity

Robert Half is partnering with an organization in the Canonsburg area who is looking to hire a Sr. Accountant!

We are looking for a hands-on accounting professional to manage core accounting functions across multiple entities. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, audit support, and process improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss statements for multiple entities
• Support annual audit preparation by developing schedules and gathering required documentation
• Oversee the daily work of Accounts Payable and billing personnel
• Perform monthly reconciliations for a range of general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain fixed asset records and related schedules
• Review and reconcile inventory cycle counts
• Work closely with the Controller and leadership team on reporting, margin review, and profitability analysis
• Assist with accounting system implementations, updates, and upgrades
• Analyze budget-to-actual and forecast variances and investigate discrepancies
• Help strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls

• Experience with inventory scanning technology or QR-based inventory systems is a plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3-10 years of relevant accounting experience
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
