Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a diverse medical/surgical telemetry unit with a focus on a nephrology population. Candidates should possess strong Med/Surg telemetry and neurological skills. The role includes interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, utilizing rapid response teams, and working with a variety of interdisciplinary support services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care to adults aged 18-87, including those with newly diagnosed diabetes and end-stage renal disease.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Participate in rapid response and code team interventions as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1+ years of experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Ability to float to other units as necessary based on patient care needs.
