Job Description A certified Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) will implement treatment programs to assist pediatric patients with cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and/or social/emotional disabilities and delays by planning and administering speech therapy services in the home and community. Requirements ASHA certification Texas State SLP License Current CPR certification A minimum of 1 year of experience preferred Feeding experience preferred Responsibilities Provide high‑quality care and meet the needs of patients and families by performing evaluations and interpreting assessment results; develop goals appropriate to each child; create and implement speech‑therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician. Assist pediatric patients to develop or regain cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and/or social/emotional functioning and improve their independence through skilled interventions. Educate, coach, and empower caregivers and families to incorporate therapeutic activities into the child's daily routine. Coordinate with referral partners to deliver services for children in accordance with the physician order. Ensure continuation of the therapeutic plan after discharge by designing and teaching home exercise programs to patients, families, and caregivers. Document patient care services and care coordination in an intuitive electronic medical record system. Maintain patient confidentiality to preserve trust.
