Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We meet people in their homes and communities and help connect them to the resources they need. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services, working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. All of our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual.
The Program Manager, Intensive Home-Based Treatment, is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, and oversight related to the organization’s intensive service offerings.
The program manager will work in close collaboration with behavioral health operations, human resources, and in alignment with the behavioral health performance team.
The salary for this position is $73,000.00 to $93,000.00 annually, based on experience, licensure and/or education.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, family-centered IHBT services aligned with Ohio fidelity standards and OhioRISE expectations
- Provide clinical leadership and consultation to supervisors and direct service staff
- Monitor treatment quality, documentation standards, and crisis response practices
- Review cases for appropriateness, acuity, and service intensity
- Support collaborative treatment planning focused on reducing hospitalization, residential placement, and system involvement
- Ensure IHBT model fidelity, staffing ratios, supervision structures, and training expectations are maintained
- Monitor compliance with Medicaid, OhioMHAS, OhioRISE, CME, and payer requirements
- Oversee documentation audits, utilization management, and billing integrity
- Maintain adherence to contractual, regulatory, and licensing standards
- Support IHBT Supervisors and leadership staff
- Assist in the IHBT hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluations, corrective action, and professional development
- Coordinates with the program supervisors in program-related hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluations, corrective action, and professional development
- Facilitate team meetings, consultation structures, and clinical case discussions
- Develop internal training and promote evidence-informed practice implementation
- Assist the county managers with program operations across multiple counties and service areas
- Assist with monitoring fidelity, staffing capacity, referral flow, authorizations, and service access
- Oversee workflows related to payer assignment, prior authorizations, end-dating, and care coordination
- Assist with budget oversight, fiscal sustainability, and program expansion planning
- Track program effectiveness using Ohio Scales, hospitalization data, school outcomes, and other performance indicators
- Develop quality assurance procedures and improvement initiatives
- Analyze data trends to improve access, engagement, retention, and outcomes for youth and families
- Assist IHBT supervisors with building and maintaining partnerships with schools, courts, juvenile probation, hospitals, OhioRISE Care Management Entities, residential providers, and county leadership
- Represent IHBT in community meetings, provider collaborations, and statewide initiatives when appropriate
- Support referral development and cross-system coordination for high-acuity youth and families
- Lead implementation and expansion of intensive behavioral health programming
- Assist with the development of new service lines and operational frameworks
- Support organizational strategic planning related to youth and family services
- Promote innovative, community-based approaches aligned with Ohio’s evolving behavioral health system
- Ensure timely completion of reports, staffing updates, audits, and program metrics
- Maintain communication with executive leadership regarding performance, barriers, and growth opportunities
- Participate in on-call leadership support and crisis escalation processes as needed
- Utilizes databases and Electronic Health Record systems for accurate client documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, mandated reporting requirements, and professional ethical guidelines
- Travel throughout assigned service regions to support teams, partners, and program operations. Travel requirement up to 50% for this position. With occasional overnight travel
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Licensure:
- A high school degree or GED equivalent is required
- A bachelor’s degree in healthcare, behavioral health or a related field is required
- A master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field is required
- An active licensure as an independent LISW/LPCC/IMFT in the state of Ohio is required
Experience:
- 3-4 years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or related fields is required
- 3-4 years of experience in delivering or managing intensive programming is preferred
- Experience working in the behavioral health field and/or working with multi-system youth and families is required
- Experience with wraparound services is preferred
- Experience working within Electronic Health Record systems is preferred
- Experience with grant writing and the approval process is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced communication skills, both oral and written is required
- Advanced organizational skills are required
- The ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions is required
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care is preferred
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations is required
- Knowledge of Medicaid regulations and compliance requirements is required
- Knowledge of community service systems is required
- The ability to maintain confidential information is required
- Ability to adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and requirements
- A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required
- An appropriate level of auto insurance coverage is required
- Access to reliable transportation is required
- Ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced, high-volume environment is required
- The ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment is required
- The ability to maintain a high-speed internet connection is required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer is required
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times is required
