Position Details Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Waterloo Function: Factory Engineering (CA) Title: Quality Engineer - 121938 Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position Responsibilities As a Quality Engineer located in Waterloo, IA you will: Provide production support for containment, inspections, quality procedures, and tools to monitor critical processes Support operations teams with quality planning, control, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure products meet customer expectations Report defined quality metrics to operations teams and Leadership. Skills & Experience 1 or more years of related experience in quality or manufacturing engineering in a manufacturing environment Experience using standard quality management principles and tools (such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause, Control Plans, Gauge RR, MSA and Capability Studies) Experience with gear or shaft manufacturing standards, processes, and controls Experience reading and interpreting complex part drawings, including functional knowledge of GD&T principles and terminology Experience using advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis Experience in driving a closed loop corrective action process, including rigorous root cause analysis Preferred Qualifications Experience in project management; including effectively facilitating, leading, and managing cross functional teams Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or Minitab software ASQ certifications such as CQE, CSSGB, and/or CSSBB Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: 4 year degree in Manufacturing Technology or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
