Job Description Performs day to day processing of accounts payable transactions in connection with the operation. Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are met. Ensure that all activities are being performed in accordance Service Level Agreements (SLA's). Review reports to create payment in accordance with departmental guidelines. Validate that payments are being made within the company guidelines. Deliver dependable customer service to both the vendors as well as Boyd employees. Provide additional support to the department as requested. Team Playing: Team player demonstrated by a willingness to work with the team to achieve common goals. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices, and procedures. Match vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents, verify that all documentation is accurate and in accordance with all accounting policies and procedures. Ensure the accuracy of interface of Coupa and Workday. Coordinates to receive missing vendor information and resolve variances. Ensure that payment is in accordance with vendor terms and all available discounts are captured. Verify, calculate, and accrue tax as applicable within all the jurisdiction where we do business. Communicates problems or discrepancies to supervisor/management in a timely and efficient manner. Observes and follows all safety procedures. Performs all other job-related duties as requested. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in accounts payable required. Must have beginner level skills with Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook, basic office equipment, and 10-key by touch. Working knowledge of general accounting principles, accounting practices and theories. Working knowledge of state specific regulatory requirements Effective written and verbal communication skills (in English) and demonstrates ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner. Professional appearance and demeanor. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ability to work independently, prioritize based on urgency and work through high volume and stressful time periods. Able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses. PREFERRED: Previous knowledge and experience with financial systems (Coupa, and Workday). Previous experience working in a similar casino resort or Financial Shared Services Center setting. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent. APS certification (Accredited Payable Specialist).
