Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Sonographer with 2+ years experience to cover a short-term acute care hospital, requiring RVT or RVS registration.

Job Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 298 staffed beds,
• Covers both Belleville and Shiloh locations, primarily based at Belleville,
• Adult patient population in Emergency Department and outpatient vascular settings,
• Daily caseload of approximately 40 patients per technologist,
• Performs Doppler studies, peripheral vascular studies, renal artery duplex, upper/lower extremity venous and arterial studies, and portables,
• Day shift schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM,
• Works every 7th Saturday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with on-call Sunday 7:00 AM-noon,
• Will float between Belleville and Shiloh locations within scope,
• Uses Epic charting system and Siemens/Acuson equipment,

Job Requirements

• RVT or RVS registration required,
• ARDMS and BLS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• Community hospital experience required,
• Epic charting experience preferred,
• Siemens and Acuson equipment experience preferred,
• PACS experience preferred,
• Arterial graft studies and arterial mapping experience preferred,
• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• Performs vascular ultrasound studies including arterial and venous duplex imaging across multiple extremities and vascular territories,
• Scrub color is wine or cell blue,
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position,
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius; local candidates are not accepted,
• Standard travelers may work up to an 18-month period before requiring a 3-month break in service,
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler,
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment,
• All RTO must be finalized at time of submission with no changes permitted afterward
