Job Summary/Basic Function
The Move In Crew Coordinator plays a key leadership role in facilitating a smooth, welcoming, and efficient Move In Weekend for new and returning Sycamores. Coordinators oversee volunteer operations, support large scale logistics, and help create a positive first experience for students and families. This position requires strong organization, communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Specific Responsibilities Work Schedule
Monday, August 10th through Sunday, August 16th - some evening hours required.
Will be required to work one shift Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Desired Start Date

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinators will: Volunteer & Team Leadership
- Assign move-in volunteers to designated parking lots and volunteer shifts.
- Assist with volunteer training sessions, ensuring volunteers understand expectations, safety guidelines, and service standards.
- Provide on-site guidance, respond to questions, and help maintain a positive working environment.
- Check volunteers in and out of assigned shifts.
- Support campus partners (housing, facilities, police, etc.) by communicating real-time needs.
- Assist students and families by providing guidance and helping transport belongings into residence halls.
- Help troubleshoot unexpected challenges such as schedule changes, delays, etc.
- Provide a welcoming, supportive environment that reflects the values of Indiana State University.
- Serve as a knowledgeable representative of campus resources, answering questions from students and families.
