Key Responsibilities

• Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services in accordance with the physician-authorized plan of care and evidence-based nursing practice standards
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, patient education, responding to call lights and alarms, and assisting with transfers
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to update or revise care plans to improve patient outcomes
• Function as a team leader and resource, delegating and providing direction to support staff as appropriate
• Maintain knowledge of and compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility-specific policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (verified Active via LARA and/or Nursys)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Active American Heart Association PALS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Pediatric nursing experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR highly preferred
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary collaboration in an acute care hospital setting
