Business Development Manager, Water Services

Job Description

Own the Memphis territory and grow recurring industrial water service revenue, with Service Deionization and Portable Exchange Deionization at the core.

Flowtec Group is partnering with an established industrial water treatment business to appoint a Business Development Manager for the Memphis region. They deliver water and wastewater solutions to industrial customers and differentiate on process know-how and reliable recurring service rather than one-off equipment sales. The business is in a period of strong growth, and Memphis is one of its most attractive territories, with a regeneration facility already in the region and a dense base of manufacturing, logistics and food and beverage plants.

LOCATION & TERRITORY

• Greater Memphis, TN, remote or hybrid within the catchment area of the Memphis facility
\n
• Individual contributor reporting to the VP of Sales or Director of Business Development
\n
• Works closely with the Memphis operations and service teams and with other business development managers in the area
\n

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

\n
• Owning the Memphis territory end to end and building a pipeline of long-term recurring service contracts (SDI, PEDI, resin regeneration and industrial water services)
\n
• Visiting plants to diagnose water issues and turning them into a deliverable service solution
\n
• Selling on lifecycle value, total cost of ownership and guaranteed uptime rather than the lowest capital quote
\n
• Using smaller equipment and maintenance needs, such as RO, softeners and chemical feed, as a way into accounts and then converting them to long-term service contracts
\n
• Protecting and growing existing accounts and cross-selling across the installed base
\n
• Working with operations so that what you sell can be delivered profitably
\n
• Keeping the CRM current and forecasting accurately
\n

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

\n
• A proven track record in B2B solution sales, selling industrial water services, service contracts or technical environmental services
\n
• Direct experience of Service Deionization (SDI) and Portable Exchange Deionization (PEDI), ideally including rental, exchange or resin regeneration models
\n
• The ability to walk a plant floor, diagnose water issues and speak credibly to plant engineers
\n
• A history of turning transactional sales into recurring service revenue
\n
• Experience running a geographic territory on your own, with strong pipeline and CRM discipline
\n
• Service background preferred

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

• Base salary of $75,000 to $110,000 + Bonus
