Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum experience required Level I trauma experience required License: State nursing license required Certifications: ACLS BCLS by AHA PALS TNCC NIH Must-Have: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias EPIC charting experience Description: This position is for an experienced registered nurse specializing in emergency care. Candidates must be local and willing to work three weekends out of four. The emergency department is a Level 1 trauma center, offering a high-paced and demanding work environment. Nurse-to-patient ratios may vary from 1:5 to 1:8, depending on patient inflow. Travelers will be expected to have the required certifications including TNCC, ACLS, BCLS, PALS, and NIH. Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience is preferred. Triage experience is also preferred, but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should be prepared to float to pediatrics as necessary. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage critical situations effectively and efficiently. This role will involve working with diverse patient populations, including adolescents, adults, and pediatrics. The emergency department utilizes a 5-level triage system to expedite patient care. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for this role. Please note that training for documentation systems will be provided.
