Job Description Summary Road Mechanic – Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of equipment, ensuring minimal downtime in a safety‑focused environment. Responsibilities Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations. Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment. Use hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting fundamentals. Maintain flexibility with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Provide mechanic’s tools of trade. Work with a strong team in a safety‑focused environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired. 3‑5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty line equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil & gas). Valid driver’s license; acceptable driving record. CDL license may be required in some locations. Bilingual Spanish or other language may be required based on location. Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting. Ability to perform physical demands such as bending, squatting, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors. Possibility of providing mechanic’s tools of trade.
