What You'll Do:

• Set up, operate, and monitor advanced CT equipment for diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare and position patients safely, using proper techniques and immobilization devices.
• Obtain patient history, including allergies and pertinent medical data, to ensure optimal imaging protocols.
• Administer contrast media intravenously when required, following established guidelines.
• Capture, develop, and store high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
• Maintain equipment calibration, perform quality control, and ensure all imaging adheres to departmental standards.
• Assist radiologists and physicians with specialized procedures, providing support and expertise.
• Monitor patients during scans, recognizing and responding to allergic reactions or emergencies, including administering CPR if necessary.
• Uphold safety standards, maintain a clean work environment, and manage supplies efficiently.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives and support training of new staff members.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience with CT imaging procedures and operation of complex imaging equipment.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and imaging protocols.
• Ability to position patients safely and effectively, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members.
• Knowledge of contrast media administration and emergency procedures.
• Competency in digital image capture, storage, and transfer.
• Ability to follow safety standards and maintain high-quality imaging consistently.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT-R, RT) or equivalent.
• Experience with MRI, Ultrasound, or other imaging modalities.
• Prior experience working in a hospital setting or with specialized radiological procedures.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and equipment maintenance.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing CT scans in a clinical setting.
• Valid licensure and certifications as required by state and regulatory agencies.

Other Requirements:

• Current registration and certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Willingness to work overnight shifts on a scheduled basis.
• Ability to travel for trainings or certifications if necessary.
