Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Medical Massage Therapist, based in Redwood City, CA. The Medical Massage Therapist will work closely with patients to provide customized therapeutic treatments, including medical massage, stretching, myofascial release, and other pain management techniques. Key responsibilities include creating and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring a comfortable and professional environment, and maintaining thorough documentation of patient progress. You will work with the doctor to help the patient achieve pain free goals.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Medical Massage and Therapeutic Massage
- Expertise in Stretching and techniques that improve mobility and flexibility
- Experience in Trigger Point therapy, how to identify and treat affected muscles
- Strong skills in Myofascial Release Therapy and related therapeutic modalities
- Current certification or licensure for massage therapy in the State of California
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional healthcare setting
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
