What You'll Do

As a Unit Clerk, you'll be the administrative hub of the unit, ensuring our clinical teams have the support they need to deliver outstanding patient care. Responsibilities include:

• Support nurses with lab, X-ray, and medical orders.
• Answer and direct calls for the nursing team.
• File, scan, and maintain accurate electronic health records.
• Order, organize, and stock hospital and office supplies.
• Coordinate off-site appointments, interpreters, and specialty services.
• Prepare admission paperwork and discharge documentation.
• Obtain medical records from outside hospitals and providers.
• Assist with obtaining vital signs and EKGs as delegated by nursing staff.
• Monitor refrigerator temperature logs and maintain required documentation.
• Submit work orders and help keep units organized and tour-ready.
• Assist with direct patient care when needed.
• Attend required meetings and annual training.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Licensure/Certification

• Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) preferred.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required.

Experience

• One to three months of related experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Experience working with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday. Candidates should be able to:

• Regularly lift up to 10 pounds.
• Frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
• Perform tasks requiring close attention to detail and visual accuracy.
