The Teacher is responsible for leading a classroom that promotes learning, exploration, and development through engaging experiences and intentional teaching practices. This position requires creating a positive classroom culture, implementing curriculum with excellence, maintaining a safe and organized environment, and collaborating with families and team members to support each child's success.

• Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Plan and implement engaging learning experiences that support children's growth across all developmental domains.
• Foster positive relationships with children through encouragement, guidance, and responsive interactions.
• Observe, assess, and document children's progress to support individualized learning and development.
• Lead and collaborate with assistant teachers to ensure a cohesive, effective classroom team.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing and program requirements.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding children's development, achievements, and classroom activities.
• Support children's social-emotional development by modeling positive behavior, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities.
• Uphold the mission, values, and standards of Early Connections Academy.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Ability to create engaging learning experiences that foster curiosity, confidence, and independence.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and fellow educators.
• Commitment to maintaining a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.

• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 20 trainings hours yearly.
• Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
