Industry: Healthcare AI Domain: Real-time patient data analytics Location: San Francisco / Austin TX / Remote (U.S. only)
You’ll be the founding Data Engineer at a healthcare AI startup backed by a leading Data/AI-focused VC firm. This role is ideal for someone who loves building from scratch and wants their work to have immediate impact in a deeply meaningful space.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL frameworks
- Develop real-time ingestion systems to support ML model deployment
- Partner with data scientists and AI engineers to operationalize analytics
- Architect and maintain the company’s data infrastructure and lakehouse
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and security protocols
What You’ll Bring
- Expert-level Python or Scala skills
- Hands-on experience with Spark, dbt, Airflow
- Proficiency in AWS (Glue, S3, Redshift), Snowflake, or BigQuery
- Strong SQL and data modeling expertise
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, Terraform
